Hundred 2 One: Fabian Yantorno

We bring you our popular Hundred 2 One feature which has been going down a storm in this season's Matchday Programme. This article was first published in the Programme for our game with Carlisle United.
Chinese cartoons, collecting beer mats and meerkats, Fabian Yantorno tells all in our popular new feature where players select fifteen questions at random from our 100-strong index.
2 What was your favourite television programme as a kid?
"I think it was a cartoon called Super Football - it was a Chinese cartoon so it may have been called something different in England. I remember the main character was a player called Oliver and the other one was called Benji - they were brilliant like!"

5 What is your speciality in the kitchen?
"Well, I have to cook for myself and when I do it's usually some kind of pasta. Carbonara is my favourite and sometimes it's really good, but sometimes it's not!"
8 When did you last learn something new?
"Living in Hartlepool I'm always learning new things! I guess it was probably some word in English but I can't remember, I have learnt so many over the last few weeks."
10 What's your worst habit?
"I'd say it's that I'm a little bit messy! Things in my house aren't always in their place so there can be things all over. I've always been a bit like that!"
41 What's the funniest thing you've heard shouted from the crowd?
"Ha! Well, when I was playing for Hibs we had a game against Rangers and they had a player called Jean Claude Darcheville who was down getting treatment for an injury. When he was taken off the Hibs fans were chanting "You're just a fat Eddie Murphy!" at him which I have to admit I found quite funny!"
16 What's your favourite piece of sporting memorabilia?
"I think it would be the shirt I have from Nacional; they were the team I supported as a boy. I actually played against them and a friend of mine was playing for them so at the end of the game we swapped shirts. That's a very important shirt for me."
21 Who is the best player you've played with?
"I would say it's a lad called Damian Macaluso. He's a big, strong defender who has played in France and I think now Mexico. I played with him back in Uruguay and he's got great technique, can play in a few positions and can score from set-pieces too."
44 If a spaceship landed outside would you get in and where would you ask to go?
"I think I'd get in, yeah! I'd ask them if we could go to Uruguay and I'd pick up a few of my friends and then take them down to the beach!"
56 Do you (or have you ever) collected anything?
"It's a bit embarrassing but I used to collect beer mats. A friend of mine was collecting beer bottle tops so I just started collecting the mats because I liked one or two of them. In the end I probably had about 100 and I still like to take home at least one from every country I visit."
89 What's the best thing you've ever won?
"That would be when I played for Uruguay Under 20s and we played in a small competition in South America against Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Chile. We won the tournament so that was great for us."
34 What was the last movie you went to see?
"It was the one called Day And Night which has Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz in it - it was alright. I like to go to the cinema when I can."
50 What's your favourite animal?
"Well the first thing that came to mind was dog, but back home my father breeds canaries and in his house he has many of them at one time and enters them in competitions and stuff. It's a bit crazy but he does well at it!"
26 If you weren't a footballer what would you be?
"I think I'd be a PE teacher. I used to study for that back home for around six months and once my playing days are over I may look in to it again."
29 What's your most memorable game?
"It was probably when I was at Gretna and we played Celtic. We lost the game but Celtic were lucky because they scored in the 85th and 92nd minute after we'd led the game for a long period. I scored the goal too so that was probably by most memorable game."
82 What is your favourite TV advert?
"Well, I don't really have a favourite but I think the Compare The Meerkat one is very funny. In fact some people have said that I sound like the character off that!"
